I currently serve as a Director of Engineering at Canonical, the maker of the Ubuntu Linux distribution. I specifically head our Community team.

I am also a leadership & career coach. I focus on helping individual contributors, managers and startup founders overcome their challenges to become a better version of themselves. For more information, visit my dedicated page.

I previously worked at Google for 18 years (between 2007 and 2025) as a program manager. I led teams focused on serving developers and startups in emerging markets. Our mission was to make Google technologies their platform and tools of choice, with a key emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Earlier on, I had also served as a chief of staff to one of the best managers I ever had, ex-VP of Engineering Nelson Mattos, whom I continue to humbly serve as a volunteer for the NGO – Karimu – that he's operating.

Earlier on in my career, I was a strategy consultant and evolved in the field of business intelligence. I hold an engineering Master's degree from CentraleSupélec and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs (and some advanced project management certificate from Stanford University and an international degree in history, who would have guessed).
